The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method to deal with procrastination in you daily life routine while doing some work. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks.

As i was doing research on “how to deal with hypertension” for my Mega Project in Amal Fellowship, so i decided to apply this technique while learning more about my topic. I set the timer and start my search and picking up important points from it related to my project and in 25 minutes time frame i read out one complete Article about it. I took rest of about 4–5 minutes and continue again and in an 1 hour i read about almost 5 articles.

The difficulties i face while applying this technique was;

  1. At first it seems so stressful to me while completing 1 article in 25 minutes.
  2. I was losing interest and i kept my self motivated through out the hour.
  3. I kept all the distractions away from my self, which was really difficult.

But at the end i can easily tell u this that i did more work in just one hour while using this technique because i was so bound to time frame i have to keep my self away from all distractions and i set a goal for my self which i had to achieve and i did that.

I decided that for sure i will add this technique in my daily routine work because it help me a lot in achieving my goals in very specified time, also while applying this technique to my daily routine work, the work will be no more that difficult because it will become a game for me with a specified time to achieve a specific goal and then i will treat my self with a reward. This technique showed me that the most distraction comes from inside which is a person’s procrastination which lead you some where else and in the end you won’t be able to complete your required work in your specified time so, while using this technique i handle my procrastination in a very good manner while not losing my mind and focus on my 1 objective at a time and avoiding all distractions.
